three brothers adopted

i miss Doi, Dung and Don.

sunny 33 °C

its taken me along time to write about this and it still kinda makes me cry, with a mix of what i think is happiness and sadness and relief and other emotions i cant pin point.
Last month we went to the Baby orphanage and these 3 brothers were leaving with thier new adoptive parents to live in America . (wooohhooo i really admire them adopting 3 boys wwhhhewww its going to be full on :)). It was a happy day, The boys looked happy and a bit nervous (and so did the new parents).

It also shows how shoddy the orphanage is at times when the biological mother came to say goodbye to her 3 youngest sons (the adoptive parents not quite relising who she was at first). Then everyone gathering for a family photo (which included the two older brothers Thai and Cahn). Another surprise for the new parents, now in the position of breaking up a family . Turns out the older boys arn't up for adoption because when they are old enough they'll go home and work for the family.
So i feel sad for the older boys especially Thai the oldest who used to stick up and care for his brothers alot at the orphanage. Thai is also such a sweet sensitive boy and it seems to have hit him quite hard his brothers going.

I'm also so happy that they are out of the orphanage, Dung the youngest (the sad eyed 18mth old boy in the photo being held by David) having a stable constant carer is really what he needed. Actually it proberly what all of them need, It's kinda exciting knowing they'll now be able to develop and blossem.

but i miss them not being there everyday, i miss Dungs cuddles just putting him in the sling and carring him around , and watching him fall asleep sitting up, sleeping with his eyes half open. Or crying when the mothers tease him saying they don't love him (nasty i know!).

i miss Doi and his sad waving at us from the gate when we leave, also thoughs small smiles that he would give, even though they were hard to get sometimes.
and i miss Don who was kinda naughty.

here a little photo sequence (ok i'm holding back tears now :()

Great to read your stories/thoughts etc. Why can't the biological mother care for her boys? We knew you would get the boys smiling? Maybe one day they will return to Vietnam and help/from the love and help they have received. Much love Pa and Ma
